The Soldotna Stars, a 3A program in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, have officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The upgrade, set to be completed in time for the 2026 season, will feature a new turf field, upgraded locker rooms and a state-of-the-art weight room. The Stars, who finished 7-3 last season, are looking to build on their recent success. The facility upgrade will not only benefit the current team but also serve as a recruiting tool for the program. With the upgrade, the Stars will be able to attract top talent from the region, giving them a competitive edge in the 3A Central Conference.
