High school flag football prospect, Emily Wilson, of the Soldotna Stars, is drawing interest from top programs in the country. According to sources, Wilson has received verified scholarship offers from the University of Nebraska, which will launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, and Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships available. Additionally, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, have also expressed interest in Wilson's services. With the 2026 season approaching, Wilson is expected to make a decision on her college plans in the coming months. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at Nebraska are reportedly impressed with Wilson's skills, and she is also being courted by NAIA programs with significant scholarship offerings.
