Sprint Drill for Service Cougars S Players

๐Ÿ“ Service CougarsยทFriday, July 10, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Service Cougars S players can improve their speed and agility with the 'Cone Weave Shuttle' drill. Set up 5 cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Players start at one end, then weave through the cones, changing direction quickly. After completing the weave, they sprint back to the starting point. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'stay low.' This drill translates to game performance by improving S players' ability to quickly change direction and cover receivers. By practicing the cone weave shuttle, Service Cougars S players will be better equipped to handle the fast-paced nature of 4A football.
