Marcus Brown Commits to SMU

Dimond Lynx wide receiver Marcus Brown has committed to SMU for the Class of 2027. Brown, a 4A prospect, chose the Mustangs over other offers from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound receiver fits into SMU's offense, which features a pass-heavy scheme that should utilize his speed and agility. Brown will have an opportunity to contribute immediately, as SMU's receiving corps is expected to be in flux this season. Academically, Brown was drawn to SMU's strong business program, which aligns with his interests. Brown previously held offers from several other schools, but did not publicly announce any decommitments before making his decision to commit to SMU.
