The South Anchorage Wolverines are gearing up for a strong 2026 flag football season, and local prospects are being courted by NAIA powerhouses. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are actively recruiting top talent from the 4A Anchorage team. Both institutions offer up to 12 scholarships to aspiring flag football players. Wolverines flag prospects are encouraged to attend upcoming camps at either Ottawa University or Keiser University to showcase their skills and take the first step towards a potential scholarship. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska, set to launch their inaugural NCAA D1 program in 2028, are also monitoring the scene. Meanwhile, UT Arlington's developing NCAA D1 program is keeping a close eye on local flag talent.
