Service Cougars Flag Football Recruits New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Service CougarsยทSaturday, July 18, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The Service Cougars' girls flag football team is gearing up for the 2026 season, and with the ASAA's pilot district expansion, Texas athletes now have access to new scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028. Nebraska offers the most Power 4 representation in the country for women's flag football. For Texas athletes, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are actively recruiting and offering scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is not yet offering scholarships. Service Cougars athletes interested in pursuing flag football scholarships should research and reach out to these programs directly.
