Malik Walker Commits to Baylor
Malik Walker, a 3A linebacker from the Soldotna Stars, has committed to Baylor University. The Class of 2025 standout chose the Bears over other Division I offers, citing a strong fit within Baylor's defensive scheme. Walker believes he will have the opportunity to contribute immediately, given Baylor's need for depth at linebacker. Academically, Walker was drawn to Baylor's highly-regarded business program, which aligns with his career aspirations. Walker initially committed to another program in January, but re-opened his recruitment in April. He visited Baylor's campus multiple times, including a recent trip in June, before making his decision. Walker's commitment to Baylor marks a significant addition to the program's 2025 recruiting class. He is expected to enroll at Baylor in January 2025.
