Austin Johnson Commits to Army Football Program
Austin Johnson, a 2025 offensive lineman from Dimond High School in Anchorage, has committed to the United States Military Academy football program. Johnson, a four-year starter for the Dimond Lynx, was a key component of the team's 4A Alaska State Championship run in 2023. He projects as an interior lineman in Army's triple-option offense, where he can utilize his strength and agility to control the line of scrimmage. Johnson's commitment fills a need at guard for the Black Knights, who have a history of producing talented linemen. The academic program at West Point aligns with Johnson's academic goals, as he maintains a 3.5 GPA while taking Advanced Placement courses. Johnson had previously committed to Army in 2023 but reopened his recruitment in January 2026, ultimately reaffirming his commitment to the program in June 2026.
