Service Cougars Flag Football Recruits New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Service CougarsยทTuesday, July 28, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the ASAA flag football pilot district expansion gains momentum, Texas athletes are taking notice of the growing scholarship landscape. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, is a Power 4 school with a strong commitment to women's football. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are actively recruiting top talent, including flag football players. Other NAIA programs, such as Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, offer up to 12 scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. While UT Arlington is in development, it is not yet offering scholarships. For Service Cougars players looking to capitalize on these opportunities, creating highlight tapes and attending summer camps at these schools can be a crucial step in securing a scholarship. Athletes should research and reach out to these programs directly to learn more about their recruitment processes and requirements.
