Hoover Buccaneers Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade

The Hoover Buccaneers, a 7A powerhouse in the AHSAA, marked a major milestone Friday as they broke ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The Buccaneers are coming off a 10-2 season and a second-round playoff exit. The upgrade, which includes a new weight room, locker rooms and video analysis suite, is expected to give the program a significant recruiting edge in the highly competitive 7A classification. With top-ranked teams like Thompson and Hewitt-Trussville also in the region, the Buccaneers will need every advantage they can get to compete for a state championship. The new facilities are set to be completed in time for the start of the 2026 season.
