Malik Thompson Commits to Kansas State
Thompson Warriors tight end Malik Thompson has committed to Kansas State University. The Class of 2027 standout made the decision after a thorough evaluation of his options. Thompson cited the Wildcats' strong emphasis on the tight end position in their pro-style offense as a key factor in his decision. He believes he will have an opportunity to contribute immediately, potentially filling a void left by departing seniors. Academically, Thompson is drawn to Kansas State's strong engineering program, which aligns with his interests. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect held offers from several Power Five programs, but ultimately chose the Wildcats due to their overall fit. Thompson previously committed to Alabama in 2025 but decommitted in February 2026 to explore other options. He is expected to enroll at Kansas State in the summer of 2027.
