Hewitt-Trussville Huskies standout flag football player, Emily Wilson, has caught the attention of several top programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, has reached out to Wilson's coaches, expressing interest in her skills. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter, have also shown interest. Meanwhile, Midland University, Nebraska, has been in contact with Wilson's family, discussing potential opportunities. Although UT Arlington is developing its program, it has not yet offered scholarships. Wilson's coaches recommend that she focus on her technique, particularly in the passing game, to increase her chances of securing a scholarship. As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, Wilson's decision will be crucial in determining her collegiate future.
