The Central-Phenix City Red Devils are primed to make a statement in the AHSAA flag football pilot district expansion. As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the team's top prospects are focusing on verified scholarship programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is offering Power 4 status and NCAA Division 1 opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, is a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships available. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. UT Arlington, in development, is a Texas-based option. Red Devils recruits can explore these programs and take concrete actions, such as attending summer camps and creating highlight tapes, to increase their chances of securing a scholarship.
