Marcus Johnson Commits to Houston High School Football Program
Marcus Johnson, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound offensive lineman from Auburn High School, has committed to play for the Houston High School football team. Johnson, a Class of 2026 prospect, was a key contributor for the Auburn Tigers in 7A competition. He chose Houston for its athletic fit within the program's offense, as well as the opportunity to compete for a starting position on the depth chart. Additionally, Houston's strong academic program and reputation for producing well-rounded student-athletes played a significant role in Johnson's decision. Johnson had previously committed to another program, but opted to re-open his recruitment after reassessing his options. He is expected to report to Houston High School's summer camp in August, where he will begin preparations for the upcoming season. Johnson's commitment adds depth and talent to the Houston High School football program, and is expected to be a key contributor in the coming years.
