Greenwood Bulldogs Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade
The Greenwood Bulldogs, a 6A program that finished 8-4 last season, broke ground Thursday on a $3 million facility upgrade. The project, set to be completed by the start of the season, includes renovations to the team's locker room, weight room and training areas. Bulldogs coach, Michael Johnson, said the upgrade will help the program attract top recruits and stay competitive in the state's 6A classification. Johnson noted that the new facilities will provide a more professional environment for players, which will be a key selling point in recruiting. The upgrade is expected to give the Bulldogs a significant edge in the competitive 6A South division, where they will face off against top-ranked teams like the Southaven Chargers and the Olive Branch Conquistadors.
