The AAA's pilot district expansion for girls flag football in Texas has created new pathways for athletes to secure scholarships at top programs. Shiloh Christian Saints, a 4A powerhouse from Springdale, is at the forefront of this movement. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are set to launch the University of Nebraska's inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships, is also actively recruiting Texas talent. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also targeting top Texas flag football players. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its NCAA Division 1 program, although scholarships have not yet been announced. Saints athletes can now focus on developing their skills and securing spots at these top programs.
