Carson Smith Commits to Kansas State
Greenwood Bulldogs linebacker Carson Smith has committed to Kansas State University. The Class of 2026 standout chose the Wildcats over offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Tulsa. Smith's commitment comes after a strong showing at the Kansas State football camp, where he impressed coaches with his athleticism and tackling ability. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is a key addition to the Wildcats' defense, which is expected to feature a 4-3 scheme this season. Smith will have the opportunity to compete for a starting spot at inside linebacker, where he can take advantage of the team's relative lack of depth at the position. Kansas State's strong academic program and research opportunities also made the university an attractive choice for Smith, who plans to major in engineering.
