FridayNightPulse: 'Quick Flip' Drill for 7A CBs

๐Ÿ“ North Little Rock Charging WildcatsยทFriday, July 24, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

For cornerbacks at 7A programs like North Little Rock Charging Wildcats, developing the ability to quickly change direction and stay in phase with receivers is crucial. The 'Quick Flip' drill targets this skill. Set up a series of cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Players start at the first cone, sprint to the second, then quickly flip their feet to change direction and accelerate to the third cone. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues include: 'Flip your feet, not your hips,' and 'Stay low, stay fast.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing CBs to stay in phase with receivers and quickly react to changes in direction. It also improves agility and quickness, essential for 7A cornerbacks.
