DeShawn Taylor Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Hamilton Huskies cornerback DeShawn Taylor has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The Class of 2025 standout chose UTSA due to the program's aggressive defensive scheme, which aligns with his playing style. Taylor expects to contribute immediately as a freshman, given the team's projected depth chart. He was drawn to UTSA's strong academic programs, particularly the university's business and engineering departments. Taylor had previously considered other Division I schools but ultimately chose UTSA for its overall fit. The 6-foot cornerback holds a 3.5 GPA and has been a two-year starter for the Huskies. He recorded 45 tackles and four interceptions as a junior. Taylor's commitment marks a significant addition to UTSA's 2025 recruiting class.
