Agility Ladder Drill for 6A Cornerbacks at Chandler Wolves

๐Ÿ“ Chandler WolvesยทSaturday, July 18, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Chandler Wolves cornerbacks will be put to the test this season with top-notch competition in the 6A division. To prepare them for the speed and agility of opposing receivers, we've developed an agility ladder drill that targets quickness, footwork, and reaction time. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between sets. Players will start in a 3-point stance, then quickly move through the ladder using a 'quick feet' motion, focusing on small, rapid steps. Coaching cues include 'explosive out of the gate' and 'keep your weight forward.' This drill translates to game performance by improving cornerbacks' ability to quickly close gaps and stay in phase with receivers. It also enhances their agility and reaction time, allowing them to stay one step ahead of opponents.
