Saguaro Sabercats CBs: Master the 'Shadow' Drill
This summer, Saguaro Sabercats cornerbacks will be honing their skills with the 'Shadow' drill, a high-intensity workout designed to improve reaction time and coverage techniques. The drill involves setting up a series of cones in a zig-zag pattern, with a quarterback or coach at the center. The CB starts at the first cone, reacting to the QB's fake handoffs and deep throws. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Coaching cues: 'Stay on the QB's eyes,' 'Mirror their movements,' and 'React to the ball.' This drill translates to game performance by replicating the quick decisions and rapid movements CBs face on the field. By mastering the 'Shadow' drill, Sabercats cornerbacks will be better equipped to stay one step ahead of opponents.
