Hamilton Huskies Girls Flag Football Players Eye Expanded Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Hamilton HuskiesยทFriday, July 24, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The AIA's decision to expand its flag football pilot program to more districts in Texas has created new scholarship pathways for the state's top female athletes. For players like those on the Hamilton Huskies, a 6A powerhouse from Chandler, this expansion means more opportunities to compete at the next level. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, is a prime destination for top Texas talent. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are offering full scholarships to select players. Other NAIA powerhouses, including Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also actively recruiting top Texas flag football talent. Midland University, Nebraska, is another school to watch, with its own scholarship program in place. Athletes looking to capitalize on these new opportunities can start by creating highlight tapes and reaching out to coaches at these schools.
