Devon Brown Commits to Houston

๐Ÿ“ Mater Dei MonarchsยทThursday, July 2, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Mater Dei Monarchs wide receiver Devon Brown, a Class of 2026 prospect, has committed to the University of Houston. Brown, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver, cited the Cougars' Air Raid offense as a key factor in his decision. He believes his skillset aligns well with the system, allowing him to contribute immediately as a freshman. Brown also praised Houston's academic program, noting the university's strong reputation for producing well-rounded graduates. The Monarchs' coaching staff had previously mentioned Brown as a potential starter, but he decided to explore other options before committing to the Cougars. Brown was previously committed to another program but decommitted earlier this year. He plans to enroll at Houston in January 2027, allowing him to participate in spring practice and develop chemistry with his new teammates.
