Hunter Robinson Commits to Texas Tech
Oaks Christian Lions cornerback Hunter Robinson has committed to Texas Tech University, the school announced Friday. The Class of 2026 prospect chose the Red Raiders over other Power Five offers, citing the team's aggressive defensive scheme as a major factor. Robinson, a 4-star recruit, believes his skills will translate well to the 3-4 defense employed by Texas Tech. He also praised the school's strong cornerback depth chart, noting that he sees an opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, Robinson was drawn to the university's academic programs, particularly the College of Engineering. With this commitment, Robinson becomes the first Oaks Christian player to pledge to Texas Tech in the 2026 class. The Oaks Christian Lions are currently in the midst of summer camp, preparing for the upcoming season. Robinson is expected to play a key role in the team's secondary this fall.
