Monarchs DE Cade Smith Commits to Arkansas
Mater Dei Monarchs defensive end Cade Smith has committed to Arkansas for the Class of 2026. Smith, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect, chose the Razorbacks over offers from USC, UCLA and Oregon State. He was previously committed to Oregon State before decommitting in May. Smith cited Arkansas' 3-4 scheme as a key factor in his decision, as he believes it will allow him to utilize his pass-rushing skills. He also praised the Razorbacks' defensive line depth chart opportunity, which he believes will give him a chance to contribute immediately. Additionally, Smith was drawn to Arkansas' strong academic program, which he believes will support his future goals. As a rising junior, Smith has already shown his ability to dominate on the field, with 30 tackles and 10 sacks last season.
