Unlocking LB Speed with Folsom Bulldogs' Agility Ladder Drill

๐Ÿ“ Folsom BulldogsยทSunday, July 12, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Folsom Bulldogs linebackers can expect to see a significant increase in their agility and speed. The key to this improvement lies in a drill that combines agility ladder training with strength exercises. The drill, dubbed the 'Ladder Shuffle,' involves placing an agility ladder on the ground with the feet together. The LB then steps out with one foot, places it in the ladder, and shuffles to the next rung before stepping out with the other foot. This process is repeated for 3 sets of 10 reps on each leg. Coaching cues include keeping the back straight, engaging the core, and driving through the feet. This drill translates to game performance by improving reaction time and allowing LBs to quickly change direction on the field.
