Building a Stronger Husky O-Line: The 'Plyometric Push-Pull' Drill

๐Ÿ“ Corona Centennial HuskiesยทSaturday, July 18, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Corona Centennial's Open program, our linemen are putting in the work to dominate on the gridiron. One drill that's been making waves is the 'Plyometric Push-Pull'. This explosive exercise targets the legs, core, and upper body, translating to improved strength and power in game situations. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps: start in a push-up position, then explosively push up and pull a partner or resistance band towards you. Focus on quick, powerful movements, keeping your core engaged and your back straight. Coach says, 'I want to see a burst of speed and power, like a Husky lineman exploding off the line of scrimmage.' This drill will have your O-line ready to rumble come game day.
