Raptor Reflexes: A CB Drill for Eaglecrest's Summer Camp

๐Ÿ“ Eaglecrest RaptorsยทTuesday, July 7, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the Eaglecrest Raptors prepare for the 2026 season, cornerbacks will focus on developing their reaction time and agility with the 'Raptor Reflex' drill. Set up a series of cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Players start at the first cone, then react to a coach's whistle, sprinting to the next cone. After 3 reps, change direction and repeat. Perform 3 sets, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Bend, don't stretch' and 'Keep your eyes on the prize.' This drill translates to game performance by improving a CB's ability to quickly close on receivers and change direction on the fly.
