Texas A&M Extends Offer to Top RB Prospect DeShawn Johnson
Texas A&M has extended a scholarship offer to DeShawn Johnson, the highly touted Class of 2027 running back from Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, Colorado. Johnson, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound back, has impressed college scouts with his speed and elusiveness on the field. He recorded 1,234 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Johnson has also received offers from Oregon State and Utah, and is expected to draw significant attention from other Power Five programs in the coming months. As a rising junior, Johnson will be a key player for the Raptors in the fall, and will look to build on his impressive performance last season. Johnson is expected to make official visits to Texas A&M and other top programs in the spring of 2027, with a decision potentially coming in the summer of that year.
