Pueblo South Colts' Talented Multisport Athlete Eyes Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Pueblo South ColtsยทTuesday, July 21, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's flag football program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is poised to make waves in the Power 4. For multisport athletes in the Pueblo area, this presents a unique opportunity to pivot to flag football and secure a college scholarship. One such athlete from Pueblo South Colts' 4A team is considering this path. To take advantage of verified scholarship programs, she should explore options at Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters in the NAIA. Meanwhile, UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is in development, though scholarships have not yet been offered. Athletes interested in flag football scholarships should create highlight tapes showcasing their skills and reach out to these programs directly.
