Malik Wilson Commits to University of Houston
Eaglecrest tight end Malik Wilson has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2026. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior plans to join the Cougars' offense, which features a pass-happy scheme that should play to his strengths as a receiver and blocker. Wilson cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a key factor in his decision, as he projects to compete for a starting role behind projected starter, a senior. The University of Houston also offers a strong academic program, which was a priority for Wilson, who maintains a 3.5 GPA. Wilson had previously committed to the University of Colorado but reopened his recruitment in April, ultimately choosing the Cougars over several other Power Five offers. He will report to summer camp in July, where he will begin working with the team's coaching staff and developing his skills for the upcoming season.
