Eaglecrest Raptors Flag Football Players Eye New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Eaglecrest RaptorsยทMonday, July 27, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the CHSAA expands its flag football pilot district in Texas, athletes from the Eaglecrest Raptors are taking notice of emerging scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028. Nebraska offers verified scholarships to top recruits. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are actively recruiting flag football players and offer up to 12 scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, also has a strong presence in the NAIA. For those considering a move to UT Arlington, which is developing its NCAA Division 1 program, athletes should note that scholarships have not yet been offered. Raptors players interested in exploring these opportunities can reach out to their school's athletic department for guidance on the application process.
