Carson Walker Commits to University of Houston
Carson Walker, a defensive end from the Class of 2026, has pledged to attend the University of Houston. Walker, a standout for the 5A Cherry Creek Bruins, will bring his skills to the Cougars' program. The Houston commitment is a strategic fit for Walker, as the Cougars' defense is known for its aggressive 3-4 scheme, which aligns with his playing style. Additionally, Walker will have the opportunity to contribute immediately, as the Cougars' depth chart at defensive end is expected to be competitive this season. The University of Houston's strong academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business programs, also made the school an attractive option for Walker. Walker had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in April, allowing him to explore other options. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the fall of 2027.
