Austin Harris Commits to TCU
Austin Harris, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker from Shelton High School, has committed to play for the TCU Horned Frogs. Harris, a Class of 2026 prospect, chose TCU after considering several Power Five programs. The Shelton Gaels standout cited TCU's 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, believing it best suits his skills. Harris also praised the Horned Frogs' linebacking depth chart, where he sees an opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, he highlighted TCU's strong academic program, which aligns with his academic goals. Harris had previously committed to UConn but reopened his recruitment in April. He plans to enroll at TCU in January 2027. Harris was a two-time All-State selection and led the Gaels in tackles as a junior.
