Southington's Multisport Talent Eyes Flag Football at Top Programs

As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's flag football program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is generating buzz among multisport female athletes. Southington's Blue Knights, a powerhouse in the Liberty League, are home to a talented athlete considering a pivot to flag football for college opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national flag football powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter, are also on the radar. Midland University, Nebraska, another active recruiter, offers a NAIA pathway. While UT Arlington's program is in development, it's worth monitoring for future scholarship opportunities.
