Austin Moore: Fairfield Prep's Academic All-Star Lineman
Fairfield Prep Jesuits' Austin Moore, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound Class of 2025 offensive lineman, has been a force on the field, starting every game as a sophomore and junior. Last season, he helped block for running back Tyler Jackson, who rushed for 1,234 yards and 15 touchdowns. Moore's athleticism and technique have drawn comparisons to a potential Division I prospect. Off the field, Moore's dedication to academics is just as impressive, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while juggling varsity football, Advanced Placement courses and extracurricular activities. As a member of the Class LL, Moore's prep experience will prepare him for the challenges of the CIAC's top division. Scouts are watching to see how Moore develops his pass-blocking skills and whether he can maintain his academic prowess while taking on a more prominent role on the team this season. With his work ethic and natural ability, Moore is poised for a breakout year.
