Middletown Cavaliers linebacker Cameron Wilson has committed to Texas Tech University, choosing the Red Raiders over other Division I offers. Wilson, a Class of 2027 prospect, will join a defense that employs a 3-4 scheme, a fit that aligns with his skills. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker will likely compete for a starting spot at outside linebacker, where he can utilize his athleticism and speed. Texas Tech's academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business degrees, was also a factor in Wilson's decision. Wilson previously decommitted from Ohio State in February, citing a desire to explore other options. He chose Texas Tech over other Division I offers from programs such as West Virginia and Purdue. Wilson is considered one of the top linebacker prospects in the state of Ohio and is expected to make an immediate impact for the Red Raiders.
