Middletown Cavaliers' standout athlete, Sarah Johnson, has announced her intention to pivot to girls flag football for college opportunities. Johnson, a three-sport star, has been recruited by several NAIA programs. Ottawa University, Kansas, is a top contender, offering up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting Johnson. The University of Nebraska, a Power 4 school, has expressed interest in Johnson's skills, and coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are monitoring her progress. As Johnson prepares for the inaugural 2028 NCAA D1 flag football season, she is advised to focus on developing her skills in the off-season and maintaining strong academic credentials to remain eligible for these top programs.
