Trevon White Commits to Houston
Smyrna Eagles wide receiver Trevon White has committed to the University of Houston, the school announced Tuesday. The Class of 2026 prospect will join the Cougars' high-powered offense, which features a pass-happy scheme that should play to his strengths. White's athleticism and speed make him a natural fit for the Cougars' system, and he should have a good opportunity to contribute immediately. The Smyrna native cited the university's strong academic programs and research opportunities as a major factor in his decision. White had previously considered several other Power Five schools, but ultimately chose Houston for its fit and resources. He is the second Delaware high school player to commit to the Cougars this summer, following a decommitment from a top prospect earlier in the month. White is expected to enroll at Houston in the fall and participate in the team's summer camp.
