Simplifying the Highlight Tape: A Guide for OL Prospects

๐Ÿ“ Smyrna EaglesยทWednesday, July 8, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

College coaches want to see a clear picture of your skills, not a montage of every snap you've ever taken. Structure your highlight tape around specific plays that showcase your strengths, such as a dominant block on a running play or a perfect pass protection sequence. Use a 3-5 minute format, divided into sections for run blocking, pass blocking and versatility. Include at least 3-4 plays per section, with clear narration explaining the play and your role. For example, use a metric like '3.2 seconds of clean pass protection' to demonstrate your ability to keep the quarterback safe. Keep the tape concise, with a clear title and your name and contact information at the end.
