Route Running Mastery: Caesar Rodney Riders' WR Drill

๐Ÿ“ Caesar Rodney RidersยทMonday, July 20, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The Caesar Rodney Riders' wide receivers are gearing up for another successful season, and a key component of their pre-season training is the 'Speed and Separation' drill. This drill focuses on developing the quickness and agility necessary to beat defenders in one-on-one matchups. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest period between sets. Players start at the line of scrimmage, then sprint 5 yards before making a sharp cut to the inside. The coach or trainer will provide coaching cues such as 'explosive start' and 'quick release' to emphasize the importance of a fast start and a sharp cut. This drill translates to game performance by allowing WRs to develop the skills necessary to create separation from defenders and make big plays down the field.
