FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Caesar Rodney Riders' RB Drill

๐Ÿ“ Caesar Rodney RidersยทTuesday, July 28, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Caesar Rodney Riders' running backs are gearing up for the upcoming season with a high-intensity drill that focuses on speed, agility, and power. The 'Ladder Shuttle' drill involves setting up a ladder with 5-6 feet between each rung. Players start at one end, then perform a lateral shuffle through the ladder, followed by a 10-yard sprint to the next ladder. They repeat this process for 3 sets of 5 reps. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'drive through the ladder.' This drill translates to game performance by improving RBs' ability to change direction quickly and accelerate out of cuts. It also enhances their ability to read blocks and find holes in the defense.
