Chaminade-Madonna Lions OLs: Master the 'Plyometric Pull' Drill

๐Ÿ“ Chaminade-Madonna LionsยทSaturday, July 11, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Chaminade-Madonna Lions OLs can dominate on the line with the 'Plyometric Pull' drill. Set up a 10-yard line with two cones, 5 yards apart. OLs will start at the 5-yard line, then explosively pull themselves to the 10-yard line, landing softly on both feet. After a 30-second rest, repeat for 3 sets of 5 reps. Coaching cues include: 'Explode off the ground,' 'Keep the core tight,' and 'Land softly on both feet.' This drill translates to game performance by improving OLs' ability to explosively generate power and speed off the line. It also enhances their balance and agility, allowing them to quickly react to defensive linemen and secure blocks. By mastering the 'Plyometric Pull,' Chaminade-Madonna Lions OLs will be ready to take on the 3A competition this season.
