Raiders' WRs Get Ready for Fall with 3-Step Quickness Drill

๐Ÿ“ St. Thomas Aquinas RaidersยทThursday, July 23, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At St. Thomas Aquinas, Raiders' wide receivers are gearing up for a dominant season with a focus on speed and agility. One key drill to watch is the 3-Step Quickness Drill. This exercise targets the transition from plant to explosion, a crucial aspect of the Raiders' high-octane offense. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps: 1) Start in a 3-point stance, 2) Plant one foot and explosively drive off the ground, 3) Immediately transition into a sprint. Coaches will cue 'Fast Feet, Fast Hands' as players focus on quick turnover and acceleration. This drill translates to game performance by allowing WRs to rapidly change direction and explode past defenders, a key component of the Raiders' passing attack. By mastering this drill, Raiders' WRs will be ready to take on the best of 5A.
