LSU Extends Offer to Apopka TE Jalen Young
The Tigers have added to their 2026 recruiting class with a major commitment target, extending an offer to tight end Jalen Young of Apopka High School. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 235 pounds, Young boasts impressive measurables for a player at his position. He recorded 24 receptions for 342 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore, earning him all-county honors. Young has already held offers from Florida, Miami and Tennessee, solidifying his status as one of the top tight end prospects in the state. With his size, speed and athleticism, Young is expected to be a key contributor on the Blue Darters' offense this fall. As the recruiting process heats up, Young is expected to take official visits to LSU and other top programs in the coming months, with a decision likely to come in the spring of 2026.
