Milton Eagles OL Drill: Building Power and Speed in the Trenches
The start of the season is just around the corner, and for 7A programs like the Milton Eagles, it's time to fine-tune their line play. One drill that's been gaining traction among top programs is the 'Med Ball Rotation Drill.' This high-intensity exercise targets the core, shoulders, and legs, essential for dominating the line of scrimmage. For OL players, perform the following: 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Hold a 20-pound med ball and rotate your torso while keeping your feet shoulder-width apart. Focus on explosive power and speed through the rotation. As you get more comfortable, increase the weight to 25 pounds. This drill translates to game performance by building the strength and agility needed to block and tackle at the highest level.
