Hunter Brown Commits to Houston
Benedictine Cadets defensive end Hunter Brown has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2025. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect chose the Cougars over offers from Arkansas State and South Alabama. Brown's commitment is a significant addition to Houston's defensive line, which is expected to run a 3-4 scheme in the upcoming season. The depth chart at defensive end is currently thin, providing Brown with an opportunity to contribute immediately. Academically, Brown is drawn to Houston's strong business program, which aligns with his career aspirations. Brown had previously committed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette but decommitted in May after reevaluating his options. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the fall of 2025 and participate in the team's summer camp.
