Malik Walker Commits to Texas Tech
Grayson Rams wide receiver Malik Walker has committed to Texas Tech University, the school announced Wednesday. Walker, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose the Red Raiders over offers from Georgia, Auburn, and Louisville. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver is expected to fit into Texas Tech's Air Raid offense, which has a history of producing prolific wideouts. With the departure of several key receivers from last season's roster, Walker sees an opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman. Academically, Walker is drawn to Texas Tech's College of Engineering, which offers a strong program in his desired field of study. Walker previously held a commitment to Georgia, but decommitted in April to explore other options. He is ranked among the top 10 wide receivers in the state of Georgia by 247Sports.
