Buford Wolves Name New Coordinator
Buford High School's football program has promoted assistant coach Ryan Jenkins to defensive coordinator. Jenkins, a five-year veteran of the staff, has developed several key players during his tenure. The Wolves, a perennial power in 6A, have won 10 state championships since 2003. The team's recent success has drawn top recruits to the program, with several four-star prospects committing in the past two years. Jenkins' promotion is expected to boost the team's defensive performance, a key area of focus for the 2026 season. With the GHSA's new recruiting rules taking effect, Jenkins' experience and reputation will be crucial in attracting top talent to Buford. The Wolves will begin summer camp in late July, with the season opener set for late August.
