Red Raider WRs, Get Ready to Dominate: 'Route Runner's Agility Drill'
At Kahuku Red Raiders' open programs, our wide receivers are putting in the work to dominate on the field. One key drill to add to your training regimen is the 'Route Runner's Agility Drill.' Set up four cones in a square shape, with one cone at each corner. Start at the top cone, then perform a 5-yard out route, followed by a 5-yard in route, and finally a 5-yard dig route. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Keep your eyes on the quarterback, stay low and explosive, and change direction quickly.' This drill translates to game performance by improving your WRs' ability to quickly read the defense, create separation, and make sharp cuts to get open.
